Job Profile

ZED Facilitator

A ZED Facilitator is a professional who guides Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the Government of India's Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) certification process. This role involves visiting manufacturing units to evaluate safety/quality standards, aiding in self-assessment, and uploading documentation via the ZED mobile app.

Key Responsibilities

  1. On-site Visits & Audit: Visiting MSME units to inspect safety, cleanliness, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with ZED Bronze, Silver, or Gold standards.
  2. Documentation & Reporting: Guiding MSMEs to upload documents on the ZED MSME app and conducting gap analysis.
  3. Awareness Creation: Educating MSMEs about the benefits of the ZED scheme, subsidies, and quality improvements.
  4. Application Management: Assisting with the registration and certification process to facilitate timely certification.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or any related field is typically required.
  2. Skills: Proficiency in using smartphones for data collection (photos/videos), strong communication skills in English and local languages, and analytical skills.
  3. Location: The job requires extensive travel within assigned districts or regions

ZED Consultant

ZED Consultant jobs involve helping Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) achieve "Zero Defect Zero Effect" (ZED) certification, focusing on quality, sustainability, and efficiency. Roles include guiding firms through assessment, documentation, and on-site improvements to meet government certification standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Handholding & Advisory: Assisting MSMEs to identify gaps, implement, and maintain ZED Certification standards.
  2. Documentation & Training: Helping with online registration, documentation, and conducting training on quality standards.
  3. Process Improvement: Implementing lean manufacturing and quality systems to achieve "Zero Defect" (high quality) and "Zero Effect" (environmentally friendly) production.
  4. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with ZED guidelines and assisting in the assessment process.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or any related field is typically required.
  2. Minimum 8 years in Manufacture Sector auditing, consulting, or implementing quality/environmental management systems.
